Camp Learn-A-Lot was held on Saturday, February 28, at Lincoln Elementary. Even the cold, rainy weather did not keep a large crowd of students and their families from attending. Smiling children were reading in tents, sliding down inflatable slides, playing games, and learning about everything from “Internet Safety” to “How to Make Trail Mix”. In addition, each child who attended received one free book.
Camp Learn-A-Lot was created by our own librarian Jane Rahm and fifth grade teacher Ginger Graves to commemorate The National Reading Association’s Read Across America Event and to promote literacy and life-long learning.
Thanks to all of the many community agencies, faculty, staff, and parents who set up booths and activities to make the day a huge success.
